《Data Special Issue | China Survey: Sensing the Pulse of Science and Technology, Building Bridges for Innovation——National Public Perception of Science and Technology Innovation Report》

Abstract: To develop a more comprehensive understanding of the public’s awareness, evaluation, and expectations regarding China’s scientific and technological innovation, and to identify the problems and challenges encountered in the innovation so as to support national innovation system development, the National Survey Research Center at Renmin University of China (NSRC) conducted a nationwide survey of 3,114 residents aged primarily between 18 and 60. The survey assessed public perceptions of science and technology innovation across the country. On September 6, 2024, the Center released the survey results and convened an expert symposium under the theme “Sensing the Pulse of Science and Technology, Building Bridges for Innovation”.

Abstract:​Commissioned by the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau and conducted by the National Survey Research Center at Renmin University of China, this special survey collected questionnaire data from 4,015 Beijing residents aged 3 and above across all 16 districts. The findings show that in 2023, the per capita spending on sports spectating among Beijing residents reached 123.6 yuan, accounting for 3.2% of total per capita sports consumption expenditure—an increase of 19.9% compared with the previous year.
