Chinese National Social Survey Data Archive (CNSSDA) is an economic and social data-sharing platform funded by akey project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and implemented by the National Survey Research Center at Renmin University of China (NSRC).

Relyingon the National Survey Research Center (NSRC) and the Institute of Government Statistics at Renmin University of China, the Archive is built on China’s first open social survey database——the Chinese Social Survey Open Database (CSSOD), together with data from a suite of large-scale longitudinal and cross-sectional survey projects supported by the University’s Data High Ground Project.

CNSSDA brings together original data and documentation from awide range of sampling surveys conducted across mainland China. All materials undergo systemic cleaning, processing, archiving, standardization and internationalization, in line with internationally recognized data management practices.

.Through its online data-sharing platform, CNSSDA promotes openness, transparencyand accessibility of scientific research data. The Archive is committed to providing researchers with comprehensive, well-documented, easy-to-use and high-quality data resources. In building the platform, CNSSDAhas also developed new technologies for data management, storage and data-driven applications, and has eatablished a survey data archiving protocal that reflectsChina’sresearch landscape while aligning with global standards.

CNSSDAaims to strengthen a culture of data sharing within China’sacademic community, extend the lifecycle and usability of scientific research data, and enhance the impact and efficiency of research investments. By addressing the opportunities and challenges brought by the rapid expansion of research data,  CNSSDDA supports high-quality academic research and informs evidence-based public policy and decision-making.
